India and china clash over pangong Tso lake

India and China clash over indian territory :

As we have been hearing about china aggression on indian territories since beginning of this month. In today's day whole world is suffering from COVID19 epidemic. USA and almost all world are pointing finger against china to spread this virus. So in return china become too aggressive against neighboure country specially to india and countries in south china sea.

       On 10th may 2020 clash between indin and china troops at nathu la past in sikkim(india). There were 11 indian troops injured as per indian government official.

   Now news coming about china aggression at pangong Tso lake from couple of day. Because of it india and china border is against got fire and no of troops increase by both the side. to know this issue we have to understand LAC and Pangong Tso lake.

            

LAC : (line of actual control)

          LAC is 4075km long porous border between india and china, which's major portion is unaccepted by both country. LAC passes from plain ground,dessert,mountains,rivers,lake and galciers, which falls in one of world most extrem climatic condition in world. This line passes througt ladakh,himachal,utrakhand,arunachal and sikkim from indian side. Bases on this it is devided in three part western sector(ladakh),middle sector(himachal&sikkim)and easter sector(sikkim&arunachal pradesh). Western and easter portions ate more volatile. Due to this there was itense conflict accure between both nations in 1962. After indo-china war (1962) LAC came in existance. After this war china forcefully aquired 38000 sq km land in ladakh and also illegally possea 5200 sqkm land in northen J&K. Both countries are disagree for exact position of this line, India claim that LAC is 3488 km and china clain that LAC is 2000 km long. due to this it becomes the longest disputed border in world. Both the militry petrol in this region and often conflict accure. Most of conflict accure at the land but in this uniq case pangong lake conflict accure in water, so it is very difficult to mutually agree about it.

                   

The pangong Tso lake :

      The pangong lake is popular touriest destination. It is located in indian territory eastern ladakh region. often conflict accure in this area between india-china,so often it has been in news especially during the doklam confilct on august 19 2017. The pangong Tso lake is 135Km long narrow concave shape surround by ubarren mountain ,which are known as fingers. out of this india consume 45km long portion of lake.This lake falls in indian and tibatian territory,which is in himalian region. Army from both the side uses boat for patrols in this region.

  

Connectivity in area

       This area is covered with berren mountain in himalayan remote region. This area is located in one of most climatically extreame area. India faced kargil war (1999), during this time india shift troops in LOC- china took this advantage and built 5km long road in indian territory. 

          Chiness troop do petrols in this portion with motorise vehicle,on other side it is not connected by road on indian side, so indian troop do petrols on foot. This area coveres with ice and laked freez in winter and temprature may go up to -20°C. During this time both armies do petrols in extreame condition most on foot. 

Fingers in this area :

         Barren mountain in this area is finger shape, so it is known as fingers. there are 8 fingers on LAC out of it 4 are in indian portion and rest in chinese side. India built permanant post on 4th finger and china built on 8th finger. India claim that LAC is at 8th finger and china claim on 2nd finger. Six year ago china built permanant structure on 4th finger, which demolised by the india. During starting of this month conflict accured at the fifth fingure, But now chinese troop stop indian trool on second fingure. this is very critical situation for india  government and army, because china is becoming too aggressive in indian territrory.

What is issue !

       India-china border dispute gifted by uk during the independant of india, due to this both the country face a war in 1962. Unfortunately india lost the war due to clumsy decision by top political leaders. In result LAC(line of actual control) formed, but location of LAC is also disputed. Which is long story, Let come at pangong Tso lake. This lake is located between india and tibet(china),surrounded by barren mountains-which is in finger shape,so it is known as fingers. On LAC india built permanant watch post at 4th finger and china at 8th, But china cliam that LAC is passing throug 2nd finger and india say that it is passing through 8th finger. On china side this region is well connected by roads, but at indian side there are not any single such a infrastructure- so india start this work with a view to easy petrol in this area.this thing will end china’s advantage over india,So clash happens at finger five at staring of may 2020. Now chinese troops stop indian troops to do petroling in this area ahead finger two. Due to china’s aggressiveness this dispue started.

What will happen in future ??

         Chinese has major advantages in this region uptill now, Because they have superior boat. But now india also buy better tampa boat six year earlier. indian troops are being able to petrols aggressively in their portion. That's why there are more chances of numbers of conflict in future.
